Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India invites online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of the following Teaching Staff to the posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Primary Teachers (PRT) in Kendriya Vidyalayas for North Eastern Zone of Kendriya Vidyalaya in the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura (Advertisement No. 12) :
1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
No of posts : 182 posts in various subjects
Pay : Rs. 9300 - 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4800
Age : 40 years
Educational Qualification:
(a) Two Years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject.
OR Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subjects.
(b) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
(c) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
No of posts : 144 posts in various subjects
Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4600
Age : 35 years
Educational Qualification:
(a) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR Bachelor’s Degree with atleast 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate.
(b) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
(c) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
3. Primary Teacher (PRT)
No of posts : 220 posts
Pay : 9300 - 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200
Age : 30 years
Educational Qualification:
i) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent.
ii) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
iii) Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium.
Desirable:Knowledge of Computer Applications.
